Predefined Elements¶

Predefined Elements improve productivity, re-use and consistency in creating diagrams. They are declared in a central repository and made available in Mondrian draw.io.

To use a Predefined Element assign the unique identifier as data attribute to the Shape or Connector. For a Shape this is the Element-ID and for a Connector this is the Interface-ID.

In case the unique identifier is available as Predefined Element, then the defined data attributes are attached to the element and made read only.

Updates to these attributes are done in the Predefined Elements repository. The diagram will automatically update, upon re-opening the diagram, once the attribtues are updated in the central repository.
